Healthy gut, happy dogs:
The Power of the Microbiome

The intestine and its inhabitants play a central role in our immune system. Around 70 to 80 percent of all immune cells in our body are located in the intestine. This makes it the largest immune organ in dogs. But it is not just the intestine. It is home to a colorful world of microorganisms that are not only crucial for the physical health but also for the mental health of our dogs. The intestine and microbiome therefore form one of the most important control centers of our immune system.

Immune system: The intestine and microbiome form the basis for a strong and stable immune system. Around 70-80% of all a dog's immune cells are in the intestine and around 90% of antibodies are produced in the intestine. The microbiome regulates the immune system and promotes the correct immune response. It stabilizes the important intestinal barrier and curbs the proliferation of harmful bacteria.

Digestion and nutrient absorption: The microbiome helps break down complex nutrients and enables efficient nutrient absorption, which leads to optimal feed utilization. In contrast, sugar and sweeteners lead to a shift in the microbiome, so that carbohydrate-utilizing bacteria take over and so that fat deposits increase.

Vitamin production: Certain intestinal bacteria produce essential vitamins such as B vitamins and vitamin K. The body cannot produce these essential vitamins itself and is dependent on the batteries that produce them. It goes without saying that a healthy and balanced microbiome is a guarantee for the health of your animal.

Protection against pathogens: A healthy microbiome forms a barrier against harmful bacteria and fungi that are ingested through food. Dogs occasionally treat themselves to a snack that is rather repulsive to us humans. Of course, they are prepared for this if, yes, if the microbiome and the intestine are in good health. Malnutrition and too much sugar can limit the balance of the microfilm and disrupt the intestine and its wall. A so-called leaky gut syndrome allows these pathogens to enter the body and limit health.

Influence on behavior and cognitive functions: The microbiome influences both the behavior and the mental performance of your dog via the gut-brain axis. There is also a connection with the skin. The intestine and skin are the two largest "protective shields" for the dog. Both are connected via neurotransmitters and directly via nerve pathways. It is therefore easy to understand that disturbances in the gut-microbiome network have a direct impact on the skin and coat.

Lifelong imprinting: In the first weeks of life, the individual composition of the microbiome of each puppy and dog is formed, which influences the dog's lifelong health. If the microbiome of the mother dog is restricted and out of balance during this critical phase, this irreversibly "imprints" the offspring and influences the puppy's lifelong health.

Disease prevention: A balanced microbiome can reduce the risk of various diseases. To support the microbiome, a balanced, fiber-rich diet is important. Probiotics and prebiotics can also help promote healthy gut flora.

This is exactly where the Exqizid concept comes in. The overload of the organism by all kinds of substances (allergens) that have accumulated over the years is gently but effectively bound and eliminated in a first step with Exqizid Di-Tox . In a second step, the all-important gastrointestinal tract is rebuilt with Exqizid Ri-Fresh and your four-legged friend's microbiome is strengthened again.

That’s why Exqizid helps support your dog’s vitality.
